Frequently Asked Questions
Do you move furniture?
Yes — sofas, chairs, end tables, dining room chairs, and some tables. We ask that you remove any smaller, valuable, fragile, or breakable items prior to our arrival. We do not move entertainment centers, china cabinets, bookcases, pianos, dressers, antiques, or any electronic equipment.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, but if possible a personal or business check is preferred.
How long will it take to clean my carpets?
The average time it takes to clean an entire 3–4 bedroom house is about 1–2 hours, depending on the amount of furniture to be moved and the size and condition of the carpet.
How long does it take to dry?
In our climate and depending on weather, typical drying time is 10 to 12 hours. To help with dry time, turn on your HVAC fan, open windows if possible, and/or turn on ceiling fans or box fans.
When can I walk on my carpets after they’re cleaned?
We recommend you wait for the carpet to be completely dry so soils will not be tracked back onto the carpet, and so it can dry in a groomed and upright position. If you have to walk on the carpet, we will leave you plastic booties. Be cautious when crossing onto hard surfaces with damp feet to avoid a slip hazard.
Please ask us and we will leave the plastic booties.
Do you work weekends?
We will work Saturday or Sunday if you need us to.
How can I prepare my home to have its carpets cleaned?
Remove any breakables from furniture you want moved, and make sure any toys, clothing, small area rugs, or other items are off the floor. Vacuum the rugs the day we are scheduled to arrive. Please make sure that animals are put in a safe place while cleaning is being done.
Can we remove pet or dye stains?
Maybe, with special treatment. There’s usually an extra charge depending on the level of saturation and/or extent of damage.
What are those things you put under my furniture?
Blocks or tabs are put there to protect the carpet from rust left by furniture legs. Please leave them there for 24 hours.
Why do spots reappear after having my carpets cleaned?
Most spots are removed and will not reappear after cleaning. On occasions when deeply embedded spots have made it through the carpet to the padding or backing, they can reappear — this is called wicking, or a stubborn stain. If the spot appears, please call and we’ll come back and clean the spot again.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Most carpet manufacturers require that you have your carpets cleaned at least every 12 to 18 months. The longer you leave soil build-up, the shorter the lifespan of the carpet. If you have allergies, or if your family generates a lot of traffic and spots, clean as often as necessary to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
